When I started the first steps to creating my empowerment program 17 years ago, I didn’t know what I was doing. But what I did know was who I wanted to work with.
I knew I wanted to work with teen girls ages 13 – 18 who were gifted in the performing arts solely for the purpose of preparing them to compete in a pageant at the time.
As time went on, the program evolved into a pageant preparation program where the girls were engaged in both etiquette and self-esteem workshops and so on.
Eventually, the program would drop the pageant portion and focus on etiquette, self-esteem, community service, leadership, college preparation, and now business creation. I recently learned several of the girls were interested in starting their own businesses and blog but didn’t know where to start. I had no idea asked, but I plan to make sure their dreams are realized.
My dream of creating a program for girls was birthed out of what someone did for me when I was a teen. I knew the moment I graduated from college that I would dive head first into creating it.
I drew from my personal experience based upon how someone impacted my life when I entered my first pageant and how it changed my life.
I knew the void I needed someone to fill regarding college preparation and self-eteem building realizing other girls may have felt the same I as did.
I also drew from my knowledge and saw that my community did not have any programs for girls that checked all of the boxes in which my program offered.
Last, I drew from my passion that included working with teen girls around the age I was when someone impacted my life.
This my friends is why I started a program that is growing, growing, growing beyond my imagination.
My Personal Impact Guide is designed to help you discover who you need to serve and take the first step in creating an empowerment program or purpose driven business for those who need you most.
